Land Rover Scores with EVOQUE!


The comeback of Land Rover from its fussy and expensive foster child years bouncing from BMW to Ford ownership, is nothing less than astounding. Last month US Land Rover sales were up 16 percent year-over-year carrying the Tata Motors owned Land Rover Jaguar combine to a 4 percent overall increase.

The heavy lifting at Land Rover is done by the tough, powerful, and super-stylish Range Rover and Sport full sized SUVs, with the smaller LR4 carrying on the legacy of the retired Discovery series.

The distinctively slope-roofed Evoque was introduced in 2012 as a fashion forward spin-off of the LRX concept car, targeting a younger audience. Priced from $41,000 to $61,000 the Evoque sports the family attributes.

It’s a capable off-road performer with sturdy monocoque design, mileage boosting low weight high strength steel construction, variable suspension settings, high clearance and a low center of gravity.

Inside the amenities of the Evoque are a tribute to the regal bearing that has been the trademark of Land Rover — though today’s monarch patrons are as likely to be rap stars, atheletes and tech princes, as the Royals of Buckingham Palace.
